It all begins with a dream… and a conversation.
A Garden Design Consultation starts with a full review of your space and a discussion about your garden goals. We’ll brainstorm about the options to establish a foundation for designing a productive garden you can enjoy for years to come. We’ll discuss the benefits and challenges of your space, take measurements, review your garden design aesthetic, and create a shopping list of plant or product recommendations to maximize your growing possibilities.
90 minute consult includes education about each season’s possibilities, a personalized seasonal planting guide, recommendations for garden setup, and one garden design and planting layout.
Heirloom Potager provides in-person consults in Orange and Los Angeles Counties.
After the consultation a concept drawing of your new garden space plan will be designed with an estimate for a full-service installation from trusted contractors.
Seasonal coaching, additional planting guides, and pollinator garden designs are available for an additional fee(s).

During the consultation, Ashley will review your property, determine your garden goals, brainstorm creative ideas, and establish a foundation for designing a productive garden you can enjoy for years to come. If you have an existing garden, we’ll discuss the benefits and challenges of your current design + plant layout, assess the soil health, and make plant and product recommendations to maximize your growing possibilities

Seasonal Solutions
Maybe you already have an established garden but there are questions about how to produce more or combat pests. The Garden Thyme Consult is a 60-minute in-person or virtual consult of personal gardening education tailored to your experience, space, and the current climate conditions. This is best for someone who has a specific issue to resolve or is looking for guidance to expand their garden. Clients should be familiar with their microclimate, would like help with a planting plan for the current or next season, and have some gardening experience. Clients will receive a summary of the proposed solution, applicable product or shopping recommendations, and the current season planting recommendations.
The Garden Thyme consult includes a one-one-one session, a personalized seasons gardening guide, and a planting plan for the current or next season (for up to 75sq ft of gardening space).
After the coaching session, if needed, estimates for recommended solutions, products, or plant varieties may be emailed.
Seasonal coaching, additional planting plans, and garden design renderings are available for additional fee(s).

Have you been wanting to setup a home composting bin, but have no idea where to start? Schedule a composting coaching session to discuss the best locations in your yard, decide which composting method is best for your garden style, and what household items you can use in your bin.
As a soil advocate, I encourage every client to start composting in their gardens. Replenishing the soil is essential to a productive garden, re-purposes kitchen/common waste, reduces your carbon footprint, and saves money by supplying homegrown compost to amend your garden soil each season.
