This urban culinary garden is the primary seating area for farm-to-table restaurant Poppy & Seed in Anaheim, CA owned by Kwini + Chef Michael Reed. The garden has custom raised redwood garden beds, a dedicated bed with Subpods to compost kitchen waste, hanging window box herb gardens, and an indoor cocktail library in the bar. Located in a busy, city-setting, the cozy ambiance of the garden creates a destination-worthy dining experience.
The beauty of this tranquil chef’s potager is providing a space to plant with the seasons for abundant harvests and continuous creativity in the kitchen. This culinary garden provides almost 300 square feet of raised been garden space to rotate crops each season, grow in proper lighting conditions, and maximize the footprint without taking up valuable seating area. Each garden bed includes a custom irrigation provide even seasonal watering.

Garden Greenhouse
As a converted greenhouse, our team created an edible plant library indoors for the bar team to use while mixing custom cocktails and create an inviting interior. Several varieties of mint, sage, rosemary, and oregano are grown to craft in-house bitters and spark creativity.
